Are New Year's Resolutions dead?

All signs point to yes.

SIMPLY BECAUSE...resolutions don't last. Researchers suggest that only 9% of Americans that make resolutions complete them. In fact, research goes on to show that 23% of people quit their resolution by the end of the first week, and 43% quit by the end of January.

Here is a quick read from the Fisher College of Business at OSU (and yes, it is data, but it is quick I promise!) that speaks to why resolutions tend to fail.

Which begs the question...why do we quit so quickly? Do we bite off more than we can chew? What discourages us and stops us from moving forward?

Instead can we ask this question: what are your daily goals for 2025? Here's one: let's have fun! Let's wake up every day and just have fun. Live life, appreciate simple things, and be grateful. Can we all agree to not be hard on ourselves and not try to be better for betterment's sake?

Go ahead and declare a word for your 2025. And girl (or boy), you live it OUT! Don't be shy! Big things are coming and some of us are VERY happy to say goodbye to 2024. Can I get an amen?
