Did you make it past "Quitters Day?"

quitters day

Have you heard of this? Quitters Day, observed on the second Friday of January, marks when many people abandon their New Year's resolutions. This happens due to setting unrealistic goals, lack of planning, or not seeing immediate results. To avoid it, focus on smaller, achievable goals that build over time.

Ok great, thank you, ChatGPT. But in reality - what makes you quit? What BHAG (big hairy audacious goal) did you set that, let's be honest, you knew you couldn't achieve when you set it?

So maybe we stop going so big on January 1st? Maybe we focus on our strengths instead of aggressively trying to correct our weaknesses?

So if you went ahead and quit your New Year's Resolution...WELL DONE! Let's all take a break from being so hard on ourselves and focus on improving what we are good at and admit that the things we might suck at...are things someone else can do faster and easier.

Ah yes...the beauty of admitting we can't be all things to all people. Isn't it lovely?
